Holistic Health FAQ's
What is Functional Medicine?
How is Functional Medicine Different from Conventional Medicine?
Traditional medicine primarily focuses on diagnosing diseases and managing symptoms, often through prescription medications or surgical interventions. Functional Medicine, on the other hand, aims to restore optimal function to the body by addressing the root causes of dysfunction.
Is Functional Medicine Based on Science?
Yes, Functional Medicine is evidence-based and supported by research in fields such as nutritional science, endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, and environmental medicine.
Studies confirm that addressing inflammation, gut health, metabolic dysfunction, and oxidative stress can prevent or manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disorders, and hormonal imbalances.
